MI’RAJ – PRESS RELEASE

Edu Falaschi releases “MI’RAJ”, the final chapter of his conceptual trilogy

Following the acclaimed albums “Vera Cruz” (2021) and “Eldorado” (2023), Edu Falaschi presents “MI’RAJ”, the third and final chapter of his conceptual trilogy. Set in the 16th-century Middle East, the new work delves into themes such as spiritual transcendence, identity, faith, loss, overcoming adversity, intuition, victories, and inner ascension.

Musically, “MI’RAJ” further expands the identity established on the previous albums, incorporating Middle Eastern ethnic elements, cinematic atmospheres, progressive structures, grand orchestrations, and strong influences from traditional heavy metal, 1970s/80s progressive rock, power metal, symphonic music, and contemporary fusion.
All lyrics and music were composed by Edu Falaschi, except for parts of the instrumentals on “Watchers Of The Light”, “Wrath Into The War”, “Circle Of Dust” and “Mi’raj”, which were co-written by Edu Falaschi and Victor Franco.

This album also marks Victor Franco’s first official collaboration in the songwriting process alongside Edu Falaschi. The guitarist played an important role in shaping the musical identity of “MI’RAJ”, bringing musicianship, precision, and a strong melodic sensibility. Although he is a virtuoso guitarist, his defining quality lies in creating heavy, memorable riffs, always prioritizing the strength of the compositions and the musical impact of the songs, as well as delivering extremely melodic and tasteful solos.

The album also marks drummer Jean Gardinalli’s debut on an official recording alongside Edu Falaschi. With impressive technique, precision, power, musicianship, and an exceptionally intense, contemporary energy, Jean played a fundamental role in shaping the sound of “MI’RAJ”.

The album continues the journey of Jorge, the protagonist introduced in “Vera Cruz”, who now confronts spiritual revelations, persecution linked to the Cross of Nero, and inner conflicts that lead him toward the true meaning of transcendence. Edu Falaschi described “MI’RAJ” as the moment when the character finally understands who he truly is after losing virtually everything throughout his journey.

Among the album’s highlights is the title track, “MI’RAJ”, featuring a special guest appearance by Italian vocalist Veronica Bordacchini of Fleshgod Apocalypse. The song has already been released as a single, is available on all digital platforms, and has garnered more than 110,000 views on YouTube within just a few days of its release.

The album also features a special guest appearance by legendary vocalist Roy Khan, known worldwide for his work with Kamelot and Conception, on the track “Circle of Dust”.

Another special highlight is the participation of Rafael Bittencourt, guitarist of Angra, who performs the guitar solo on “Intuition”. This is the first musical collaboration between Edu and Rafael since Angra’s album “Aqua”, released 17 years ago in 2009.

“INTUITION” also marks the first original song in Portuguese released by Edu Falaschi in approximately 24 years, since the album Hunters And Prey, recorded with Angra in 2002.

The album was produced by Edu Falaschi, with co-production by Thiago Bianchi. Recording took place at Fusão Estúdio in São Paulo. Mixing and mastering were once again handled by Dennis Ward at TrakShak Studios in Germany, continuing the partnership established on the albums “Vera Cruz” and “Eldorado”.

The cover artwork was created by Carlos Fides, while the work’s narrative concept was developed by Edu Falaschi in collaboration with Fábio Caldeira.

“MI’RAJ” will be released in Brazil by Voice Music and in Japan by King Records. The record label responsible for its release in Europe and the rest of the world will be announced soon.

01 – WATCHERS OF THE LIGHT

WATCHERS OF THE LIGHT opens the album with Jorge’s arrival in Portugal as he searches for the fate of his beloved Janaína, who was kidnapped by the Order of the Cross of Nero at the end of the Eldorado story. This marks the beginning of the revelations about the ancient war between the Order of Light and the Cross of Nero that will unfold in the Middle East. The song introduces the idea of a cyclical battle between spiritual forces, in which each generation produces a “Chosen One” destined to confront the Dragon’s return. The concept of Mi’raj emerges as the central symbol of the spiritual connection between Jorge and his destiny, turning the journey into something inevitable and deeply personal.

Dreams grow clear as tides unveil the past
And wings arise to light the chosen path
A united passage beneath the archives
You follow signs, and truth arrives

Forever a mystery
Ancient stone
Scent of salt

Together sworn
Into the rite

Wings of the tempest
Signs in the sound
As you search all around
Awakening
Wings of the tempest
Oaths of the bond
As one you pass the hidden veils
Watchers of the light

Voices remain, plans carved into time
Forever still, you hear the bleeding tide
It binds the past beneath the chosen one
Enduring moments while you learn

Forever a mystery
Ancient stone
Scent of salt

Together sworn
Into the rite

Wings of the tempest
Signs in the sound
As you search all around
Awakening
Wings of the tempest
Oaths of the bond
As one you pass the hidden veils
Watchers of the light

Solo

“Dreams grow clear as tides unveil the past
And wings arise to light the chosen path
A united passage beneath the archives
You follow signs now”

Forever a mystery
Ancient stone
Scent of salt

Together sworn
Into the rite

Wings of the tempest
Signs in the sound
As you search all around
Awakening
Wings of the tempest
Oaths of the bond
As one you pass the hidden veils
Watchers of the light

02 – HERE I STAND

HERE I STAND reveals the structure of the Cross of Nero and expands the antagonistic side of the narrative. The track introduces the Dragon’s Assembly, led by Black Bishop Cortés, depicting a highly structured ritualistic organization that intends to use Jorge as the centerpiece of an apocalyptic ritual. The song introduces elements such as the four aligned strongholds and the Spear of Longinus, connecting geography, religious symbolism, and occultism in a plan for global destruction.

When the vile plan is sacrifice
Bishop is veiled on the way
Into the dark
SWIFT as we move
Trust the plan again

In a spiritual war the ritual rises
Ash prelate bound for death
Dragon’s assembly
Only I can see
Footprints on the sand

Living on, we vow our belief
Signs aligned to the course
Until the dawn
Keep the rites wise
Follow the seal to the source

Here I stand
I come to draw the way
Four strongholds aligned
I hear the sign within
Here I stand
I follow signs of life
Into the rite
Hear the oath cry
Cause all the seals align by fate

Solo

As the dark scheme seeks offering
Blackened bishop takes the throne
Toward the vault
Silent they rise
Bind the oath once sworn

Living on, we vow our belief
Signs aligned to the course
Until the dawn
Keep the rites wise
Follow the seal to the source

Here I stand
I come to draw the way
Four strongholds aligned
I hear the sign within
Here I stand
I follow signs of life
Into the rite
Hear t he oath cry
Cause all the seals align by fate

Here I stand
I come to draw the way
Four strongholds aligned
I hear the sign within
Here I stand
I follow signs of life
Into the rite
Hear the oath cry
Cause all the seals align by fate

03 – MI’RAJ

On the title track, MI’RAJ, Jorge travels to Turkey and begins his spiritual journey at the Temple of the 12 Veils. The song delves into the idea of the “Melody” as a manifestation of consciousness and inner truth, while the protagonist is confronted with his own lineage and purpose. It is also at this moment that Jorge meets the mysterious Seer, a spiritual figure who welcomes him to the lands of the Middle East and begins guiding him throughout the entire journey of MI’RAJ. She emerges as an enigmatic presence deeply connected to the spirituality of the narrative, leading Jorge through the temple’s trials and toward an understanding of his true destiny. The concept of the Chosen One ceases to be merely heroic and comes to represent spiritual balance, self-knowledge, and resistance against the corruption of the soul.

Iron and smoke, the embers rise
A dark altar awaits
Cortés stands still
In burning ashes
Beneath a black sky

The covenant stirs
Cross of nero burns into the shame
In the nightmares I hear
Screams of blades
Marching on!

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

Your hands still shake on the sword
You’re a picture of light
Mi’raj, I am
Don’t be afraid of the weakness of mind

The covenant stirs
Cross of nero burns into the shame
In the nightmares I hear
Screams of blades
Marching on!

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

Solo

The covenant stirs
Cross of nero burns into the shame
In the nightmares I hear
Screams of blades
Marching on!

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!
Your glory is ascending

I see your force as a rising sun
The present comes like a river flow
Your story has no ending

I am soul, truth and unending
Mi’raj the seer, everlasting
Oh!

Your glory is ascending

04 – ECHOES OF VOWS

ECHOES OF VOWS presents the human side of the narrative. Jorge revisits memories of his childhood, Sister Rosa, and his love for Janaína, questioning his ability to bear the weight of his mission. The song explores the protagonist’s emotional vulnerability through themes such as insecurity, responsibility, and the fear of disappointing those who shaped his journey. Amid the epic conflict, the track reinforces that the true battle also takes place within one’s consciousness.

Fade all the creatures
Keep the faith alive
Feel all the visions to weave all the lines

Clear as a mirror
You keep the fears away
Every reflection now guides you ahead

Follow the signs as they rise
Wait for the morrow
And just tear all the veils away

Your dreams turn sorrow into swell
Burn your promise untold
You’re rising
You’re feeding voices that well
You must read all the echoes of vows

Shape all the futures
Let your colors shine
Find in the riddles the stars intertwined

Clear in the stillness
You set the fears adrift
See, all the shadows are now yesterday

Follow the signs as they rise
Wait for the morrow
And just tear all the veils away

Your dreams turn sorrow into swell
Burn your promise untold
You’re rising
You’re feeding voices that well
You must read all the signs

Tear the veils
Your dreams turn sorrow into swell
Burn your promise untold
You’re rising
You’re feeding voices that well
You must read all the echoes of vows

Solo

Tear the veils
Your dreams turn sorrow into swell
Burn your promise untold
You’re rising
You’re feeding voices that well
You must read all the signs

Tear the veils
Your dreams turn sorrow into swell
Burn your promise untold
You’re rising
You’re feeding voices that well
You must read all the echoes of vows
Echoes of vows

Fade all the creatures
Keep the trails alive
Feel all the visions to weave all the lines

05 – UNCHAINED

UNCHAINED represents Jorge’s spiritual ascension through the ritual of the Temple of the 12 Veils. Each veil symbolizes aspects of the human condition—fear, pride, pain, renunciation, and identity—until Jorge finally accepts his true nature as “Saint George of Vera Cruz”. The song marks the album’s major turning point, when the protagonist stops resisting his destiny and begins to understand his role in the spiritual war.

A thousand fading open scarsa hazy drifting older stars
that’s how the coldness shapes the darkholding visions,
closing barslearning paths through broken cross
Bear the sacred cross

The signs in the circle are caught in timeeach passage
remains the samei am accepting my fractured souldiving in the twelve veils

Through my broken heart

I cross the darkness of sorrowand now the wounds
are healed and soothedoh I I rise into the morrow
I wore my flesh as a human frame
Unchained

I renounce the weight I’ve worn as a crown
Silence eclipses the sound
Resignation is on the way
Unsealing what was bound

The spear awaits its mark

I cross the darkness of sorrowand now the wounds
are healed and soothedoh I I rise into the morrow
I wore my flesh as a human frame
Unchained

Solo

A fragile oath of dust and nerve
I walked in shadows carved by death
One step, a question without form
And through the loss I learn the lore
My pain becomes the honest gold
Burn the lines of fate

I cross the darkness of sorrowand now the wounds
are healed and soothedoh I I rise into the morrow
I wore my flesh as a human frame
Unchained

06 – INTUITION

Sung in Portuguese, INTUITION establishes a sensory and metaphysical connection between Jorge and Janaína. Imprisoned by the Cross of Nero, she sends messages through dreams, symbols, and fragments of the Melody, guiding Jorge to the hidden center of the ritual’s lines of power. The track explores the idea of spiritual communication beyond the material realm, suggesting that Janaína is already beginning to transcend human limits as she tries to lead Jorge onto the right path.

The wind dances by the riverside
Leaves whisper secrets from the ground
The Moon peers out, illuminating the void

I sing to the stars the echoes of love
Follow destiny to where I am

I am the root, I am the sky, I am the air
I am Janaína, the moonlight’s glow
I am the song that will never be silenced
Until I find you
Through intuition

Signs are hidden
In the vastness
Colors painting the sky for no reason
Feet in the sand, listening to the thunder

I sing to the stars the echoes of love
Follow destiny to where I am

I am the root, I am the sky, I am the air
I am Janaína, the moonlight’s glow
I am the song that will never be silenced
Until I find you

I am the root, I am the sky, I am the air
I am Janaína, the moonlight’s glow
I am the song that will never be silenced
Until I find you
Through intuition

Solo

I sing to the stars the echoes of love
Follow destiny to where I am
To where I am

I am the root, I am the sky, I am the air
I am Janaína, the moonlight’s glow
I am the song that will never be silenced
Until I find you

I am the root, I am the sky, I am the air
I am Janaína, the moonlight’s glow
I am the song that will never be silenced
Until I find you
Through intuition

Through intuition

07 – CIRCLE OF DUST

CIRCLE OF DUST expands the scale of the conflict by showing the armies of Light and the Dragon, represented by ashes, preparing for the final battle. The song visually contrasts the two sides of the war—fire, iron, and smoke against stone, wind, and light—while introducing Archangel Michael’s sword, “The Blade of the Chant”, connecting the physical war to the musical symbolism present throughout the work. The revelation that the Seer is Sister Rosa turns the narrative into something even more intimate and emotional.

There’s a place where the wind seems to speak
temple of the twelve veils, heed the creed

I am the seer
I am the whisper you bear the bloodline the dragon’s claim

Emerald signs that mark the cleric palesense the codes
that press the vision’s veil

You have been haunted
You have been followed
The melody rings
It reveals the chains

Now I’m at the circle of dust

So we go
On the hill, bagras’ castle, the fortress of last breath
And now reborn
Through the silence, hands in ash, is your rite then just begun?

Pinions of dread that just drift asideroutes of settled soul that bend awry

You have been haunted
You have been followed
The melody rings
It reveals the chains

Now I’m at the circle of dust

So we go
On the hill, bagras’ castle, the fortress of last breath
And now reborn
Through the silence, hands in ash, is your rite than just begun?

Solo

There’s a place where the wind seems to speak
You have been haunted
You have been followed
When the melody rings
You’ll reveal all the traces of pain, oh!

So we go
On the hill, bagras’ castle, the fortress of last breath
And now reborn
Through the silence, hands in ash,
Has your rite begun?

So we go
On the hill, bagras’ castle, the fortress of last breath
And now reborn
Through the silence, hands in ash, is your rite then just begun?

08 – ON YOUR OWN

In ON YOUR OWN, Sister Rosa bids Jorge a final farewell, giving him not only spiritual guidance but also the keys needed to defeat the Cross of Nero. The track takes on a contemplative, almost liturgical character, emphasizing that hatred strengthens the Dragon and that only preserving the “Melody” could prevent the opening of the portal that would bring it into this plane to cause destruction. Silence and absence become narrative elements as important as the music itself.

I’m sailing for a moment
On a thousand seas of tears in the storm
When the lightning shows the roses
I cry and lay on petals and thorns

When the last grain falls, it’s over
I lost my way
On lonely nights I faded
A cross of shade

You bled in the silent cold
Of memories carved in stone
As promises left in the sand
I was faded, I was told

You’re on your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )

I’m waiting for tomorrow
When time is traced visions return
At night I feel so lonely
The burden I can’t stand anymore

Like an anchor reinforcing
Where I must stay
Our destiny is unbroken
Not one can change

You bled in the silent cold
Of memories carved in stone
As promises left in the sand
I was faded, I was told

You’re on your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( when the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )

On your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( when the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )

Reflections in the ocean
Lost between the waves
Hold my hand

Solo

You’re on your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( when the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )

On your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( when the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )

You’re on your own
( I’m sailing for a moment )
On your own
( on a thousand seas of tears in the storm )
On your own
( when the lightning shows the roses )
On your own
( I cry and lay on petals and thorns )
On your own

09 – WRATH INTO THE WAR

Closing the album, WRATH INTO THE WAR leads the narrative into the final battle in Jerusalem. After discovering Janaína’s death and realizing that her blood was used as a ritual trigger, Jorge confronts the opening of the portal beneath Solomon’s Temple as reality begins to collapse amid physical and spiritual distortions. The deaths of important allies such as Cabral and Artur reinforce the sacrificial weight of the war. At the climax, the Black Bishop is killed by Archangel Michael’s sword. His death breaks the spiritual anchor of the Cross of Nero and seals the portal, bringing an end not only to the battle, but to the entire cycle begun in the trilogy.

The dragon has a throat of silent stone
Cold walls like shadows jailing me
I touch the markings of a ritual unknown
She’s not here anymore, she’s free!
Her silence is overthrown

Soul in flames
Some illusions still remain
To my oath
Shadows learn to pray
How can I rid my heart of this pain?
Wrath into the war

“Bayt al-maqdis” inhales brand new days
I can hear echoes calling me
The temple is pulsing with an omen unseen
We stand before the sacred war
The gate gives way we will be free!

Soul in flames
Some illusions still remain
To my oath
Shadows learn to pray
How can I rid my heart of this pain?

Wrath into the war
Wrath into the war
Wrath into the…oh…war!

The ancestry will carry on through the ages
Sky, dust and tides become my home
A sacred blood just carries ancient souls
The cycle ends without a crown
And outlives the chosen one

Soul in flames
Some illusions still remain
To my oath
Shadows learn to pray
How can I rid my heart of this pain?

Wrath into the war
Wrath into the war
Wrath into the war
Wrath into the war
